Bridget Farr is a 16mm analogue film artist.
She holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies and an Honours Degree in the Photographic Arts. Her films have screened at film festivals around the world including the Ann Arbour Film Festival, Images Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, European Media Arts Festival, and the BBC British Short Film Festival.
Her photographic work has also garnered international attention, touring globally and being exhibited alongside iconic photographers such as Annie Liebovitz. Her images have been featured in high-profile events, including Oprah’s Life Your Best Life tour.
In 2007, Bridget joined the Burundi Film Centre, where she contributed to the establishment of this vital media training facility. Her dedication to experimental filmmaking was recognized in 2013 when the Canadian Film Institute honored her with a retrospective of her work.
In early 2020, Farr co-founded the Lightproof Film Collective, an innovative group of film-based artists collaborating on new works in the realm of analogue film.
Bridget lives in Ottawa, Canada, with her husband and children, where she continues to create and share her passion for film.
